South Australia State Nomination process and updates

The state nomination process in South Australia requires skilled and business migrants to ensure they meet all visa and state nomination criteria, prepare required documentation and make their application online via the Skilled & Business Migration portal.

South Australia’s state nomination process for skilled and business migrants can be summarised across three key stages as below:

Dama Endorsement Process

If you are applying for skilled migration through the Highly Skilled and Talented stream, you will need to submit an Registration of Interest application to Skilled & Business Migration. If successful, you will be invited to apply for state nomination.

Although specific requirements will vary depending on the type of visa you are applying for and your situation, the following provides an overview of what you can expect from the state nomination process.

Once your state nomination application has been approved, you will then be able to progress your visa application with the Department of Home Affairs.

STEP 1 – PREPARATION

Once you have reviewed all requirements for your chosen visa pathway, you will need to prepare a range of documentation to support your application. Skilled & Business Migration have provided documentation checklists that can help you prepare all information that needs to be supplied.

STEP 2 – SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION

Once you have prepared all required documentation and supporting information for your state nomination application, you need to register/login to the Skilled & Business Migration portal to submit your application.

The portal will walk you through submission requirements in a step-by-step process to ensure you have supplied all information required for your submission.

PLEASE NOTE: You can save progress of your application and come back to it prior to submission.

STEP 3 – APPLICATION ASSESSMENT AND OUTCOME

Once Skilled & Business Migration have received your submission, your application will be reviewed and processed by the Skilled & Business Migration team.

Skilled & Business Migration will notify you on the outcome of your application once it is processed. If state nomination has been approved, you can then continue your visa application with the Department of Home Affairs.
